Collective Support: Mindset Intensive & Community of Practice

MindCatcher offers school and after-school site leaders the opportunity to investigate their own practice and design new ways of thinking and being.  We support our cohort virtually through participatory, hands-on professional development. Participants utilize learnings to co-design a mindset playbook that addresses a challenging problem of practice impacting their ability to cultivate bold, generative learning environments for youth, alongside a community of like-minded education leaders.

“I believe young people are not only the future, they are the truth, they can be the wiping away of all of the mistakes made before them and the Big Bang of something brand new, or the continuation of the same old sad cycles...but, no matter what, they are always The Truth.”

“Young people have taught me how to listen deeply to their communication (nonverbal, words, behavior) and the questions they pose. And, I have a responsibility to address their communication and questions.”

“I’m here to see what all is possible, what’s available; I really like the appeal of social emotional learning, but also the emphasis on wellness for the educator for the leader as well.”

“I believe young people ultimately want to see a future for themselves in society. They need to believe that they can contribute and have an equitable opportunity to do so. The seeds have to be planted early before the realities of inequality show themselves. Those with strong foundation, talents, and intelligence will be able to thrive.”
