Core Values
Curiosity: Seek to understand one another and the world we live in.
Many young people with needs in contrast with the dominant culture have potential that goes untapped. MindCatcher cultivates professional development opportunities for educators to see differences as potential strengths in young people.
Calling: Manifest our gifts
We enable our educators to understand, amplify, and ignite youth voice so that young people become the masters of their learning experiences.
Connection: Build enduring relationships
Supportive relationships with adults drive learner achievement. Our engagements are designed to inspire, rejuvenate and support educators in creating the learning conditions that enable young people to thrive.

Our Approach
MindCatcher disrupts the poverty cycle of hopelessness, disconnection, and inadequate resources in learning spaces and replaces it with the pursuit of equity, inclusion, and belonging. Our evolution has been guided by the school communities who we have had the privilege to walk alongside early in our work with school communities. Today, we are laser focused on supporting the leadership and social emotional growth of those closest to the most vulnerable communities, youth and educators of color (whether they are classroom teachers, systems or site leaders). Together, we put our deepest humanity and values into action, transforming school communities.
Mindset Framework
Mindcatcher's approach is grounded in our Mindset Framework. We meet educators in their current context and work with them to dismantle limiting practices and embrace ones that cultivate the academic and life potential of young people.

Mindset Framework in Practice
Collective Support
MindCatcher facilitates cohort-based experiences tailored to the needs of education leaders of color. Collective Support, our systems, school and after-school site leader cohort experience, provides an affinity-based community for leaders to unpack challenging problems, investigate their thought-process and decision-making and co-design new ways of thinking and being amidst their peers. |
Our Retreats & Workshops
MindCatcher designs retreats and workshops to help educators understand how their current practices derail them from achieving their desired academic and life outcomes for young people and adopt practices that better align them to their education and leadership values. |
